Funding Factsheet
Engineering Institutions
We checked through all of the UK Engineering Institutions registered with the Engineering council https://engc.org.uk (see our article Institution membership and CPD) and a few other organisations and came up with the following useful leads for grants and awards available for various things;

MOD Armed forces
The specific ELCAS funding scheme if you are an armed forces employee who will be leaving service soon.

At the industry and business level
For learning about EU grants (mainly high-level stuff)
https://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/funding/about-grants_en
There is a common misconception that there is a huge range of grant funding for individuals and businesses provided by the EU. In fact, the EU’s grant activities are limited mainly to public-sector funding
Registered UK business funding schemes (there are 500+ of them they say)
www.gov.uk/business-finance-support
This website has the business finance support finder which allows you to search for grants and funding by your business type, location and size. Government agencies make no secret of the difficult application processes involved in getting grant funding. It’s part of their policy.
For apprenticeship-level funding schemes
www.gov.uk/government/organisations/skills-funding-agency
For employment and training grants
www.gov.uk/grant-bursary-adult-learners
Government funds are now typically aimed at ‘training providers’ that can undertake the training. They are not really directed at the integrity industry but we have met people who have obtained training grants for engineering courses through this route. This tends to be linked to certain employee profiles in terms of age, employment status and level of qualification.For more general coverage, read this:
Best of luck. If you want to know how we at Matthews Integrity Hub: HEAD OFFICE got on when we got involved in a trial search for funding, see our article our search for funding in the integrity industry
Matthews Integrity Hub: HEAD OFFICE is OPEN EVERY DAY….0730 – 2200 Monday – Sunday…That’s correct, all week, every week, including holidays
